JOB OVERVIEW: Busy hotel is seeking an experienced Laundry Manager to lead the laundry team in the collections, cleaning and distribution of laundered products for the Housekeeping, Food & Beverage and Custodial teams. Manage linen processes by area according to the forecast for production and labor.  This includes oversight of the daily operations of the Laundry department, including the organization, execution and accountability of all related functions, procedures, programs and policies in achieving the standard of all accommodations and efficient operations of the department.This individual provides general supervision to the Asst. Managers/Supervisors, laundry aids, truck drivers and linen delivery functions.  This includes hiring, training & development, scheduling, supervision, evaluation and strategic planning duties associated with each of the reporting contractors and staff members. Additional responsibilities include coaching and counseling as well as performance management to ensure productivity standards are met or exceeded, and ensuring quality standards are met or exceeded. This individual will ensure the staff’s commitment to maintaining service expectations through observation, communication, development and recognition. This position involves significant interactions with, and influencing of, several departments in the operation of the resort.  MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Individual must have a minimum of five years in a leadership role running a high-volume laundry system.  Commercial laundry experience is welcome. Hospitality experience is preferred.
