	JOB OVERVIEW:  We are seeking a Payroll Officer to work a flexible schedule (late evenings if required) to assist a department in the hospitality industry. This role will require a firm understanding of payroll legislation, as well as strong customer service skills in order to properly handle any queries regarding payroll. The successful candidate must be immediately available and experienced in the duties above. Please apply now if you meet the criteria below. REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: Making the biweekly payments to employees on time. Resolving any discrepancies and issues related to paychecks as needed. Calculating and accurately deducting tax, national insurance, and loan deductions from several companies for respective paychecks. Setting up new members of staff to payroll roster. Calculating overtime and all benefit payments (maternity, sick, vacation, gratuities etc.). Managing situations like impromptu maternity or sickness pay or leave of absences. Executing other HR duties as requested.
	QUALIFICATIONS: An Associate’s Degree in Accounting. Someone who is very competent in Excel. At least two years of professional experience. Comprehensive knowledge of Lignum and TurboPaysoftware systems. Someone who is familiar with working in a highly confidential manner, who has a customer service attitude, who values integrity, and has a responsible approach and a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail. Someone who has the ability to operate in a team environment.
