Horse racing hit by new Gov't measures - Sport - JamaicaObserver.com: "A number of the announcements made by Minister of Finance and Planning Dr Peter Phillips, in opening the 2012/13 Budget Debate at Gordon House on Thursday, have serious implications for the future of the local horse racing industry, including the fate of the Government-owned Caymanas Track Limited (CTL).
Most significant was his declaration that the cash-strapped CTL, which operates Jamaica's only horseracing track, Caymanas Park, was among eight private ventures from which the Government hopes to divest itself this fiscal year. This decision has reinstated a process which was active under the past two administrations to unload CTL."
