Richard Kotlow is retiring from UHY Advisors NY Inc. after 40 years with the accounting and business consulting firm, including a decade as president.
He will be succeeded by Michael Mahoney, who is based in the firm’s New York City office and most recently held the title of Metro New York managing director. Mahoney also will oversee offices in Rye Brook, New York and New Haven, Connecticut.
UHY Advisors NY is the Northeast operating division of Chicago-based UHY Advisors Inc., the nation’s 20th largest professional services firm with about 1,200 employees and revenue of $183 million. It is part of UHY International Ltd., a global network of accounting and professional service firms.
The firm is affiliated with UHY LLP, the top CPA firm in the Albany area by number of full-time CPAs, according to the latestBusiness Review list.
Kotlow, who is 62, will remain with the Albany office of UHY Advisors as a senior consultant, a part-time position.
