Phillips opens Budget Debate today - News - JamaicaObserver.com: "MINISTER of Finance and Planning Dr Peter Phillips will outline Government's plans to fund the $612-billion Estimates of Expenditure he tabled in Parliament on May 10, when he opens the 2012/2013 Budget Debate at Gordon House this afternoon.
The Government has already announced plans to spend 14 per cent, or $76 billion more than last year, including $375 billion in recurrent expenditure and $237 billion in capital expenditure that includes funding for multilateral and bilateral projects. But the figures also contain close to $340 billion for debt repayment, which has increased by $86 billion this year"
