Cost of Wray and Nephew Over Proof White Rum up $20 | RJR News: "The country's lead rum producer has announced a price adjustment to one of  its popular products in the wake of  tax measures which take effect on Friday.

J. Wray and Nephew says with the decision made to tax over proof alcoholic beverages effective June One it will adjust the price of  its White Over Proof Rum."

The retail price of  a drink of  Wray and Nephew Over Proof  White Rum will go up by no more than 20 dollars at the bar.

Wray and Nephew says the new tax regime will not affect its Appleton Special Jamaica Rum.

The Government is expecting to collect 750 million dollars this fiscal year from the special consumption tax on over proof  rum
