Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ): "Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) has introduced changes to its Cross-stamping and Certification processes. These relate to:

-the process of cross referencing an agreement with the Instrument of Transfer by noting the Transfer Tax and Stamp Duty paid, and

-the process of stamping the Sale Agreement and/or Transfer Document to indicate that the duties and taxes were paid.

Previously, the Certification and Cross Stamping processes were manual. However, TAJ has now implemented a new automated certification and cross stamping procedure which seeks to:

· Enable better tracking
· Facilitate faster processing
· Improve customer service
· Reduce risk"
