Iconic Ward Theatre in tatters at 100 years old - News - JamaicaObserver.com: "THE iconic century-old Ward Theatre in downtown Kingston has again hit upon hard times and its minders have made an impassioned plea to the public to save it from crashing out of existence.
"With its facade eroding, paint peeling and dilapidated interior, the Ward calls out for national support to restore it to its former glory and to preserve its distinguished heritage," Gillian Rowlands of the Friends of the Ward Theatre begged yesterday.
