Financial Structuring | Development Bank of Jamaica

Financial Structuring | Development Bank of Jamaica: "Financial Structuring

In addition to providing direct loans via co-financing with other financial institutions, the Direct Client Relationships Department provides financial structuring services. Through our established relationships with local and foreign financial and multi-lateral institutions, the DBJ will source appropriate funding for development projects.

DBJ has acted as lead bank in the structuring of major capital syndications:

In 2004 the Bank successfully sourced US$30M in financing from the Caribbean Development Bank and the OPEC Fund in support of a major hotel development.
In 2006 the Bank successfully structured and raised US$38M in support of a major Wastewater Treatment Project.
Policy and Procedures

The client should provide the DBJ with a detailed Business Plan on the development project which requires financing. DBJ will collaborate with the client to decide on the appropriate type of financing which will be suitable for the project or activity. E.g. grant, debt financing or equity."
